Hello I'm Katty. I have been a professional singer/songwriter for over 25 years. I studied Contemporary Music at University in the UK and then went on to record, perform and tour with bands all over the world. Alongside my career in the music industry, I have also been a voiceover artist, a DJ, a piano teacher and a vocal coach. 

 

In recent years I became more interested in the healing power of singing and music. I lead mantra singing groups online and in person, give singing workshops and provide ‘medicine music’ at ceremonies.

 

In 2019 I completed my sound-healing training in Bali, with Shervin Baloorian, a graduate of one of the world’s foremost sound-healing academies (Tama-Do). It was a life-changing experience, not just for me as a musician but it was also a spiritual turning point. Evolving from my identity as a performer to a well-being practitioner. It fills me with joy, love and a sense of purpose to serve others through my work.

 

These days I provide Sound Meditations for groups or one-to-one sessions, incorporating my voice as part of the journey, along with various beautiful instruments from around the world. During a session, the listener lies down, eyes closed, to be washed in a sea of different sounds and vibrations. The result is a creation of beautiful harmony, a journey through the elements and a connection to nature. The recipient can enter into a deep meditative state in which they may experience clarity, release, balancing of chakra centres, and much more.

 

I give voice workshops or private lessons. This involves a variety of warming-up exercises, breathing techniques, throat chakra opening, vocal toning, chanting and Mantra singing.

 

I work closely with organisations such as The Gardens of Babylon, Synthesis Institute, Embodied Empowerment, Samja Retreats Ibiza and Intuitive Sisterhood. My collaborations have taken me to events, festivals and retreats all over The Netherlands, France, Germany, Ibiza and Bali
